Packaging & Localization
This document outlines HERBAI's packaging policy for its international distribution partners. Our goal is to provide a clear and efficient framework for market localization while ensuring brand consistency, product integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Understanding Our Packaging & Production Integrity
Our product packaging is categorized into three levels:
Primary Packaging: The packaging in direct contact with the product (tubes, bottles, jars).
Secondary Packaging: The exterior retail box for a single product.
Tertiary Packaging: The bulk shipping cartons.
Critical Note on Traceability: For quality control and regulatory compliance, the manufacturing batch number (LOT) and the expiration date (EXP) are synchronized and printed on both the primary and secondary packaging during production. This synchronization is essential for product traceability. For this reason, it is not possible for distributors to produce their own secondary packaging (e.g., retail boxes) independently.
Localization Options
To address the need for local market adaptation while maintaining production integrity, we offer the following localization options:
Option A: Localization via Stickers (Recommended & Flexible)
This is the fastest and most cost-effective way to add local language and regulatory information to our standard English-language packaging. The distributor is responsible for the application of the stickers.
A1: Distributor-Managed Sticker Production (Self-Service):
Process: HERBAI provides the official, open-format graphic design files for the localization stickers. The Distributor manages the printing of these stickers with a local supplier at their own cost.
Best for: Maximum flexibility and control over local printing.
MOQ: No minimum order from HERBAI for the graphic files.
A2: HERBAI-Managed Sticker Production:
Process: HERBAI manages the production of the localization stickers. We will deliver the finished stickers to you along with your product order.
Best for: Convenience and leveraging HERBAI's quality-controlled suppliers.
MOQ: A minimum order of 1,000 stickers per product is required for this service.
Option B: Full Packaging Localization (High Volume)
This option involves a dedicated production run where both primary and secondary packaging are fully printed in your local language by HERBAI. This ensures all information, including the synchronized batch and expiry dates, is seamlessly integrated directly into the packaging.
Process: A comprehensive solution for established markets with high, predictable sales volumes. The entire production batch is manufactured with your fully localized packaging.
Best for: High-volume markets seeking a premium, fully integrated packaging solution.
MOQ: Varies by product category but typically starts at 15,000 units per product. Please refer to the "Packaging & Localization Options" table for specific details.
